The AICTE IDEA Lab (Think. Design. Build. Innovate. Transform) Sphoorthy Engineering College has been established with the support of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to nurture creativity, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty. It was Inaugurated on 3rd January 2026 and provides an open and collaborative platform where learners can convert ideas into tangible prototypes, explore interdisciplinary solutions, and develop products that address real-world challenges.
Equipped with advanced tools, technologies, and mentoring support, the SPHOORTHY AICTE IDEA Lab acts as a catalyst to bridge the gap between Idea to Prototype development. By encouraging innovation-driven projects, the Lab not only enhances technical knowledge but also fosters design thinking, teamwork, and an innovation culture across the institution.
The SPHOORTHY AICTE IDEA Lab thus aims to empower the academic community to move beyond traditional classroom learning and embrace a holistic approach that integrates innovation, design, and entrepreneurship as core components of education.
