The SPHOORTHY ENGINEERING COLLEGE was established in the year 2004 Under the flag ship of THOMA Education Society and under the affiliation of JAWAHAR LALNEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSIY HYDERABAD. It has a transparent and robust mechanism of conducting examinations for the students since its inception. The institution spends priceless efforts in updating the examination cell day by day, to meet the standards of, not the other colleges but the other universities. As a part of it, the examination cell introduces computerized hall tickets, publication of result and issue of marks memo etc., in the year of 2019. Later it was again upgraded to fully computerized mode in the year 2022 with the current updated technical infrastructure.

Under the leadership and guidance of the principal as “Chief Superintendent of Examinations/Chief Controller of Examinations”, the Examination cell lead by Mr. Ashok Darshanala, Associate Professor in Civil Engineering, acting as Controller of Examinations and Sri D.Matru, Assistant Professor in E.E.E, acting as Additional Controller of Examinations. They are well supported by other Examination committee members of staff and the following supporting examination staff.

All the persons working in the examinations cell have selfless dedication, devotion, commitment and sincerity as core qualities which follows as legacy.

To conduct all the examinations with clock precision and to publish the results without any flaw is the sole aim and function of the Examination Cell.

The section is updated continuously by utilizing day to day technology for the best practices. It was semi-automated in late 20′ and completely computerized in 2022. It includes generation of applications, hall tickets, results and mark memos etc.,

Mr. Ashok Darshanala did his B. E (Civil) from CBIT, Gandipet, Hyderabad, and received M. Tech (H&WRE) from JNTU College of Engineering, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, JNTUH University. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in the specialization of carbon foot printing/green building sustainable materials of construction and demolished waste concrete.

Mr. Ashok Darshanala worked as head of civil department and other administrative roles for last 5 years since 2018. During his teaching career of about 12 years, handled different subjects and guided many students in project works of B.Tech. He developed & constructed new type of Rain Water Harvesting (Bore well with Basin Type) structures in the college campus. He had 10+ years of industrial experience in different civil engineering infrastructure projects and Watershed development and management in drought prone areas. He is attended the AICTE offered FDPs and Certified IGBC faculty in green buildings’ eco-friendly materials and built environment. He is Published papers on Rainfall–runoff modeling SWAT model on river Godavari basin.

Mr.D.MATRU did his M.Tech in Energy Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Mr. D Matru is working with Sphoorthy Engineering college, Hyderabad, since 2016. During his teaching career of about twelve years, he pursued and experienced teaching subjects like Power Systems. Non-Conventioal Energy Sources, Basic Electrical and Electronics, Power Electronics, High Voltage and Direct Current,Basic Power Plant Engineering. He worked as Assistant professor at JNTU Manthani & JNTUH Hyderabad. He was associated with APTRIPCO more than year and carried out his responsibilities as an Assistant Engineer in construction of thermal and Hydel power plants. He worked at the prestigious Bharath Heavy Electricals LTD (BHEL) as project Engineer more than a year and involved in various projects as a project Engineer.
