The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was started in the year 2004 with an intake of 60. The current intake is 180. The department has excellent academic excellence and placement record by virtue of its resources, which include quality faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. To offer industry exposure to students and bridge the gap between industry and academia, strong industry connections are required, and the department has good industry connections through MOUs. Some of the industry partners include EDUSKILLS, UPGRAD, QUANTUM LEARNING, ICT & TASK. Quality training and skill development programs are offered which fosters quality internships and placements. Department has nurtured an ecosystem to facilitate, and guide students in all academic and extracurricular activities through a strong mentoring system. Active learning strategies are used by the faculty for student-centric learning. Students are encouraged to take up NPTEL, and SWAYAM courses for self-learning, and access is provided to coding platforms like HACKER RANK, CODE TANTRA, etc. to improve their problem solving skills.

The role of Computer Science and Engineering

          Computer Science and Engineering is a basic undergraduate engineering program that integrates various concepts of computing, programming, software development, computer hardware and software design, networks, databases, etc. Computer Science and Engineering is a broad subject that provides the foundation for all emerging technologies. Computer Science and Engineering comprises subjects from basic sciences, mathematics, and engineering core and engineering electives. As part of Computer Science and Engineering, an undergraduate student will be able to learn the fundamentals of the Computer Science and Engineering program which will help in getting placed in job roles like software programmer, software analyst, software developer, etc.
