About Teaching Learning Center
Sphoorthy Engineering College is deeply committed to the continuous enhancement of teaching–learning processes through structured faculty development, reflective practice, and pedagogical innovation. The Teaching–Learning Center (TLC) serves as the institutional hub for advancing teaching excellence and nurturing a culture of academic quality and innovation.
The TLC implements the Teacher Training and Professional Development with the objective of strengthening faculty competence by fostering innovative teaching practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, reflective teaching, and lifelong professional growth. Through systematic training programs, workshops, mentoring initiatives, and learning communities, the center supports faculty in adapting to evolving educational paradigms.
The activities and initiatives of the TLC are strategically aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Student-Centric Learning (SCL), the institutional vision, autonomous curriculum requirements, and the quality benchmarks prescribed by AICTE, NBA, NAAC, along with national and international best practices in engineering education. By integrating evidence-based pedagogy, educational technologies, and continuous feedback mechanisms, the TLC plays a pivotal role in enhancing student learning outcomes and academic excellence across the institution.
