The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell at Sphoorthy Engineering College serves as institutional platform for promoting sustainable rural development through active community engagement and academic integration. Aligned with the flagship initiative of the Government of India, the UBA Cell bridges the gap between higher education and rural communities by enabling faculty and students to collaboratively address real-world rural challenges.

The cell encourages the application of engineering knowledge, appropriate technology, and social innovation to improve the quality of life in rural areas. By integrating experiential learning, community-based projects, surveys, and participatory approaches, the UBA Cell nurtures socially responsible engineers while contributing meaningfully to inclusive national development.

Under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative, Sphoorthy Engineering College has adopted seven villages in Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, and actively works with these communities to identify needs and implement sustainable, need-based solutions.
