Department of Data Science, started in the year 2021, under its visionary management, with two decades of rich experience in offering quality engineering education. Data Science is one of the nine emerging areas identified by AICTE and Govt. of India. Availability of technology, usage of smartphones, social media, and online applications have led to the creation of extremely large scales of data from a variety of sources and heterogeneous in nature. A blend of statistics and computer science engineering skills is required to store, process, and analyze the data leading to the creation of a new engineering program called Data Science. There is an acute shortage of skilled professionals in the field of Data Science and hence the opportunities are unlimited. As a Leader with a team of certified faculty members, I take pride in leading the department with an assurance of professional career accomplishment to all the Data Science aspirants.
PROFILE: Dr. Karanam Ramesh Rao., M. Tech,Ph.D
Dr.Karanam Ramesh Rao is currently Professor and HOD CSE(Data Science). He has 24 years of teaching experience with expertise in Computer Networks and Communications, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Software Testing etc..His research interests include Data Privacy, Network Security, WSN.

- International Award 2021 for Teaching Excellence on the Occasion of World Teacher’s Day 5th October 2021 organized by International Institute of Organized Research – which is a registered MSME with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
